and proposed treatments

【Prevent the vicious cycle of jaw pain, headaches, and neck/shoulder pain】

As the weekend approaches, the fatigue from the week reaches its peak, and many patients come in for body maintenance.

In particular, office workers often experience neck and shoulder issues due to the prolonged use of computers. Recently, I’ve seen an increase in patients also reporting jaw discomfort.

Muscles of the head → Temporalis muscle

Muscles of the jaw → Masseter muscle

Muscles of the neck → Sternocleidomastoid muscle, Scalene muscles

These muscles are located close to each other, so when pain occurs in one area, it is common for referred pain to appear in other areas as well.

If jaw pain progresses, it may interfere with chewing food. If you experience any discomfort, I recommend seeking early treatment to prevent further issues.
